New Official Tournaments

The Outsiders and The Underdogs

Mitaka
Two new Goleada official international tournaments are started from today.

The Outsiders - all top level teams that are outside (not qualified) for The Champions, The Cup Winners and GIFA Cup.

The Underdogs - for teams below top level. A.k.a. all teams in the top half of standings (positions 1-6) at second level.

Both tournaments are elimination type, every round the winner of the match proceeds to the next phase. The winner grabs the trophy and glory (Outsiders - 1/2 from GIFA glory, Underdogs - 1/4 from GIFA glory).

I hope that you will have a lot of interesting games, and exiting moments.

Good luck to all participants.

These tournaments developed the concept of the "Goleada Cup" I’m proposing since almost one year. :) It is just broken down in two cups.
I'd still prefer only one cup, but I'm glad about their creation.
One more strong improvement and opportunity for fun!
Lower ranked teams will earn additional coins to grow faster, that’s also great!

A probable side effect… These competitions are fuel of experience for the golden generation strategy.
We have currently a good balance between golden and non-golden generation teams at top level.
I think to balance that effect, a diversified competition-based players' experience should be developed and introduced too.

Optimal resolution! Best? .. Maybe put this tournament in the 1st week of the season, Friday / Sunday, where users are completely stopped and this would be a beautiful entertainment for the beginning of the season. To be implemented next season.
Now all that remains is a national level tournament, the U23 World Championship, so that younger players can also receive some experience and prepare for the future in the national teams.

Best Regards!

im agree ... but under 23 is difficult to have teams ... under 25-26 probably is better ;)

good ideas, both anticipating the cups in the first week of the new season and both the national under 23 .... ;-)
Alberto (06:06, 12 JAN)
For Under23 is so hard, but I'm ready
Benji (16:54, 12 JAN)
when it will be the next matches?

it will be international at saturday and cup on sunday? allways like that?
Benji (17:14, 13 JAN)
Mitaka can you answer my question please? :)
Mitaka (19:37, 13 JAN)
I’m not sure that I understand the question...

These tournaments will be on weekends. It is possible their first rounds to be scheduled on days just after the season start. But depends from the number of participants.
Benji (09:36, 14 JAN)
the question is..

the tournaments will be always on saturday and the cup on sunday?
Mitaka (11:48, 14 JAN)
No
